Hewitt Public Library has now re-opened!

More Friends Group activities will be planned in the future.  In the meantime,  STAY SAFE!

Volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of fun activities at the library.  We can use your talent and skills to help with literacy programs, craft activities, gardening, children's programs, tutoring, helping with the library's special events and many more happenings.

To see a list of the current activities and to sign up, please click here.

If you have any questions please contact Traci at 666-2442.

Gift wrapping supplies needed

Don't throw away those Christmas gift bags and leftover wrapping supplies.  Next year the library is planning to create a FREE gift wrapping station!    Please drop off any leftover rolls of paper, tissue, bows, wrapping decorations and bags at the library.  Thanks!

Not too late to join!

Have you remembered to signup or renew your Friends membership?  You can come into the library or visit the website here to join or renew.

(Every dollar that we get goes back into the library.  In 2018 we were able to purchase phase one of the musical garden and we are currently working on a master plan to finish the garden in the coming years.  Exciting additions are coming!)

Donations needed of craft materials

The library has a "Curiosity Cart" for kids to create artwork and inventions.  They would appreciate any usable recycling or craft materials that can be donated.  Ideas of items they could use include: clean plastic bottles, paper towel rolls, cardboard, egg cartons, spice containers, sewing scraps, oatmeal canisters, cardboard boxes or other items you think might be used.
